Default Oil overfill warning

Hi. I’ve a 2014 XC60 D5. Foolishly in spite of my years of motoring! I’ve overfilled the engine oil, although I don’t think by much. Taking the digital oil level display as ‘accurate’ it was one bar down, so I topped up, but forgot to run and check between re-calculating, therefore I topped up a bit more. in total, I’ve added 500 ML, I would imagine that around 200- 250 ML would have been the amount to top up to the full level and the rest potentially is overfilled, is this likely to cause an issue?
Any thoughts?
Cheers

I would try and drain out a small amount and carefully top up 200 ml at a time to get the level right the gauge takes 20 miles to adapt to the oil level change.
do you have the 5 cylinder diesel with a dip stick or the new 2 litre 4 cylinder Volvo engine with a service dipstick on the top edge of the sump??

Thanks. I appreciate the response. I have the 5 cylinder diesel, this also has the electronic fuel gauge and no dipstick. 2014 my.
This will also mean a little hassle draining the oil, I don’t even think I can use my oil sucking tool as there’s no dipstick!!

The Service dipstick is a very short grey one down on the bottom of the cylinder block between radiator and engine in line with cylinder 1 and 2 as you stand in front the car looking at the engine. it may be shown in the handbook ?
