Default FS: V70 T5 with LPG! £750

Hi, first of all this is a project car. It needs a few jobs doing, but nothing really serious I think, and the end result would be a fantastic fast economical car.

1997 Volvo V70 T5 auto for sale, fitted with Romano multi-point LPG conversion (but hasn't got a certificate), high miles (220k miles). Has about 9 months MOT and 3 months tax.

Could do with a good clean in and out, and a few jobs as follows:

As already said, don't have a certificate for the LPG, also it could do with a bit of attention. Runs on gas, but if driven hard it does run out of puff. May have a leak too, and causes the cat to pong a bit. Basically needs a good checking over. Would have been an expensive kit when fitted though.

It needs strut top mounts/top engine mount and may need the bushes doing in the front bottom arms, it only had new bottom arms at the end of 2006 at 191k miles according to the service history, but have been told that these do go through bushes pretty quick. It has had new disks and pads at the front and a new caliper too.

Only rust on the whole car is at the bottom front corner of the drivers side rear wheel arch. See photos.

Aircon needs re-gassing.

Will also need a couple of tyres.

Remote central locking doesn't unlock the drivers door, but does lock it. All the doors lock/unlock OK from the key.

Heated rear window/mirrors and rear wash/wipe have packed up. Havent investigated, so may be simple fix.....maybe not.

Rear load cover just hangs in the back like a limp lettuce leaf.

Having said all that, it aint that bad a car, and has never let me down once. Has history up to the end of 2006/191k miles, including some fairly big bills, like the ABS controller which cost the previous owner over 500 quid alone.
Has full leather, leccy front seats, leccy windows etc. Also has towbar and electrics. Has had new rear disk and pads and a new battery last year, and had new rear dampers and top mounts for the MOT previous December.

Priced at £750 to try for a quick sale. If there are any questions or if you are interested in seeing the car just PM me. I would rather an enthusiast from here had it so it's advertised here before I go down the eBay route.

Thanks, James.
