Exhausted already
While coming down from Northumberland tonight I had a quick mooch at the Newcastle Volvo dealer who had a brand new XC60 2.4 drivE manual S on display out on ramps on the forecourt on special offer @£24995
It had rear park assist and running boards .No mention if they were in the price ! Looking round it I was shocked at the apparent rust on the exhaust system is this normal because it looks very poor? Are they not stainless rustproof steel? |

Might be a daft question but how do you know it was "new".
I ask because I think I know what car you're refering too its been there a while. It was second hand with a similar spec and the same price it was labelled as an "09". They had an event last week and wonder if they've taken off the plates and used it for the event. Either way if its new or old not sure it should be rusty. |

Well it looked new to me but you may be right about it being second hand TJ ,it will be local to you , it was like a grey colour . There wasn’t another XC 60 in sight so I guess they were selling well! Don’t think it was second hand though.
I was disappointed at the amount of rust on what I thought was a stainless steel exhaust! A pal of mine had a mid 90s Volvo and the exhaust lasted 13 years that he had it and was still sound when he sold it. It didn’t look a complicated exhaust on the XC60 like some, so maybe not too expensive to replace! |
