Default Lower Dash Radio Mount

Chaps,

I've had a quick scan/search of the forum but I can't seem to find any sources for this. I'm looking to move my radio to the lower mounting for a bit of a change and I can see this https://www.andysautosport.com/produ..._VVOK1050.html but it's in the US, does anyone have a source in the UK? I can find it (weirdly) on amazon.co.uk but it's eternally out of stock and might only be for LHD cars anyway.

Cheers

Alex

If you're going 'factory' you need the part mentioned in this thread:

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=245971

They come up on tradera.com reasonably regularly, but they are quite sought after by people fitting the extra gauges in the position vacated when radio removed from upper mounting slot.

Many people have made their own mount from cutting up an old table mat and painting with black crinkle paint.

Regards
Lucien

That's exactly what I was looking for Lucien, thanks a lot.

To the internet!

I switched my radio to the lower position to make way for the gauges cluster and to install a digital stereo - used a bracket / holder that I bought from Skandix I think. I'll check but they had them on the shelf. Involved losing the amps (behind the cubby hole) but these are no longer needed if fitting a modern stereo.
