Default Still requiring Parts

Looking for the following parts from a 1998 Volvo S/V70 T5/ R models 2,319cc phase 1.

2 Working alarm fobs.
1 Working immobiliser module.
1 central convenience module.
Manual ECU with 2 keys with key chips intact.
Drivers door lock, boot lock.
Working Siren alarm.

I have bought 3 sets so far and none work so need to get this sorted by November/December as want to be able to alarm and remotely open/lock car without having to put key in locks the entire time.

Hi Frazz

must be my bad luck but none of it worked on the car. Changed batteries, scanned for faults etc but nothing at all lol! The car is an enigma! Totally appreciated the effort you put in at the time sorting those parts out for me but hey things like that can happen. They work in 1 car but despite trying everything under the sun they can at times not work in another car lol!

In all honest your parts list doesn't make much sense!

the engine ecu is not linked to the keys

the immobiliser unit is linked to the keys

the fobs are linked to the keyless entry ecu

the alarm will only activate if the keyless entry system is used

changing the alarm siren will not help the remote key entry system...

assuming your car is running there is absolutely no point in changing the immobiliser the locks or the engine ecu......

you need to get the remote keyless entry system working so you need to look for this part http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/s...psgmw8gxku.jpg

& working fobs that are matched to that unit

also you need to consider the receiver sensor in the windscreen

hi I'm well aware of the above - regarding receivers, working siren (non-acid leaked or motherboard corroded siren) etc

Car running an auto ecu therefore looking for manual ecu to get rid of errors due to no communications with the non-existent auto box.

True I could get the current auto ecu flashed but want to source spare manual ecu with door locks, keys, ignition barrel etc regardless.

And yes I know you can slot in the ecu without requiring the keys etc.

however I've plans for another potential car down the road im collecting parts for that too so want to get parts while still available.

regardless you haven't listed the part you need to get the keyless entry working

you ilude to later in the thread you want to get the alarm working but that wont activate without the keyless entry...

too much rubbish is written about the siren & corrosion IMHO

how exactly do you consider it trolling?

you either want to fix your car or you don't?

consider your first post where you stated you need to get your alarm & remote working for november/december?

strangely I have most of the parts you need sat in my garage doing the square root of nothing but by listing items like

a manual ecu with two working keys & chips intact

why will any one sell you an ecu & keys that are not remotely linked?

fair enough you may have another project down the road but it already appears you have 3 sets of the above that don't work with your car as it is....

fault diagnosis is always better than fitting & guessing....

have you not figures out yet that if people are sending you working parts & they are not working then maybe you are doing something wrong?

an old saying springs to mind.... a fool & his money
