Default Broken load blind- serial numbers?

Hi,

My stupid load cover/ blind thing has broken after less than 2 years of only being used once a week max. The little struts that hold it in place once you pull it across have both bent, and now the handle has come off. My local dealer says its not covered under warranty and will cost me £180 new!

I'm looking to repair or replace. There are a couple on eBay but the serial numbers are different to mine, does anyone know if it matters? I have a mid 2011 model.

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Hi, I bought my xc90 without a rear blind and just bought one on eBay. Luckily there was one for sale local to me so I made contact with the seller and went and trial fitted it before bidding. Are any of the ones you're stalking local to you?

Loads of people don't use them so you should get a second hand one OK.

Roy,

There are definitiely different part numbers for the different colours available,
as these load covers are all colour co-ordinated to the car interior colour scheme,
but I don't know whether the load cover size, design, fitting etc changed with the latest / previous facelift model.

If you rang your local dealer with the part number you're looking at on E-Bay,
they might be able to tell you which variant it will fit, and what colour it is.

Thanks, but I've still got mine. Stored in the garage. I never use the load covers.

Sorry Roy ! - I thought it was you looking for one - my mistake,
I was in a bit of a rush when I posted that !

Delete "Roy" and replace with "Fizzgig" !
