It can depend what small boost hoses you use as they can flex or bulge and also boost depends what gear, what throttle, what revs. it all effects it.

On an auto even the brake pedal sensor effects boost.

It could be that the recirc valve can't take the extra pressure - its not like they are new anymore, or it could be the wastegate actuator being worn meaning that the exhaust gases are pushing the wastegate open meaning that you lose boost.

Im guessing before you have upped the boost you have done all the supporting mods like cooling, ignition and fueling along with brake upgrades for the extra power?

It depends what you did to raise the boost , remember the boost is electronicaly controlled and the ECU will always try and get it to what it should be by means of the turbo control valve ..

Your looking behind the heatshield above the turbo. Beneath that, you will see a rod that runs to the wastegate, right to left. Slacken the 10mm lock nut, remove the r clip that secures the rod to the actuator, remove from the spindle and then CAREFULLY, turn the adjuster clockwise. You want to hold the arm secure otherwise you will damage the diaphragm
This is what i did.
