Been away for a week+ so haven't been able to follow this. What a waste, for when its gone its gone. Remember I did offer free storage for it if times were hard and off-road parking space was at a premium, and would have bought it just to rescue it if I'd been about. However, when family problems occur (yet again) I have to live elsewhere to try and sort things out.
If the loose spares don't go with car let me know if I can buy them from you.

Dont be so sure Billy

the person who won your car on ebay put 3 bids on items in
Vehicle Parts & Accessories > Transmission & Drivetrain parts less than an hour ago (15:49 24/2/18) so I suspect he is fixing it

I'm sure there is not much call for reverse gear in a banger racer and also its more work to do on an automatic

So hopefully it will be saved the fate of destruction

its all on bid history on ebay for all members to see.
they have also bid on classics such as fiats lancias Alfa Romeo etc im sure these models mentioned are just the worst stock cars because of their weak body shells

Maybe the forum can track down the old girl some how just to see whats happening to it

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but its still in one piece and up for auction on 7th March 2020.
I will share the link below but its not looking loved sadly as I know how much time and effort was put into the car when the owner on here put it up for sale.

Its lot 218 on the following link if anyone is looking for a worthwhile project :

Ha ha - Jesus, that purple paint job!!

The guy I sold it to was definitely a banger racer (his FB page was had loads of photos of him racing)

Looks like he started painting it and had enough!!

The shell is solid, has a strong engine, ****ed Auto-box and lots of rust in the panels.....

You'd be disappointed to be honest - worth it only for the engine, ignition, bonnet and front calipers

I have considered it but my workshop is full so would need to get somewhere else to store her. Will have a look about.
