Default Replace handbrake cable

Hey guys,

I have a replacement handbrake cable ready to fit to the car this weekend (as its seized on one side).

Just wondering how / where I replace the part where it all joins (near the handbrake lever). Is that under the car or inside the car? Do I need to take anything apart to do this?

Cheers,
Phil

This page from the Haynes manual might be of some use to you

https://flic.kr/p/26bV2Yo

next page: https://flic.kr/p/27dxQWJ

Edit: just realised you have a C70. That page is from the s40/v50 book. Not sure if there’s any difference.

Thanks very much for that, It is the same in a C70 (tightening the cable at the lever is different though, its just under the gaiter for the handbrake level), Though I didnt drop the exhaust, I was able to pull the heat shield to one side and get my hands in.
Took me about 4 hours, and I did need a second pair of hands to put the cables onto the calipers (as once one was on, the other was to tight to fit, so needed someone to slacken the caliper on one side whilst putting the cable on the other side.)

Cheers
