Default Magic Blue V90 on order

Hi,

New to forum and just ordered a new V90 (without test drive or without seeing colour!) Baby on way so bit of a rush and dealer was confident they could have it in time for me!! My last Volvo was a 06 S40 so hoping things have improved quite a bit, they seem to have moved quite a bit forward as a brand.

Have gone with this car https://www.volvocars.com/uk/car-con...mary?s=BRJ8A24

Has anyone seen magic blue on a V90? It looks quite flat on the configurator but when having a google around and seeing it on other cars like XC90's it looks to have quite a lot of metal flake in it changing it from black to blue to almost bright purple in bright sun. Be great to know if anyone has seen a V90 in this colour either at a dealer or already has one.

Any thoughts on bits i may want that i've missed off on my order? On the whole (and coming from a 4 series BMW) the Volvo looks to have almost everything i could possibly want as standard

Yes , Magic blue can look like a black car in dull conditions then changes to a dark blue in the brighter light .

Mine's magic blue. I'm sure you'll love the colour. It can look almost black on a dull day, but in the sunshine and under artificial light you really see the rich blue/purple. As you noted it has lots of metal flake in it.

Lots of metal flake is an understatement...

Magic blue is a nice colour. It looks different in different lighting conditions and that's the magic about it.

Looks great Tem! thanks. Really nice to see how well the rear tint blends in with the Magic Blue too, really happy I went for it. Quite the contrast to my last BMW 4 series GC in Estoril blue. I see them around daily so really looking forward to the rareness of a dark blue V90!

If you click on my forum name you will see a pic of my V90 I had with a 66 plate in magic blue. I have since changed to a magic blue XC90 MY17. It is a good colour and like others have said changes in different light, It polishes up very nicely too.
