S60 - Problem importing POI database
Hi all,
I've just downloaded the pocketgpsworld files onto a USB stick and seem to be having a problem getting them onto Sensus. I have the Import function available, it then recognises the USB stick, but when I go the the next page it doesn't display anything. The USB stick is formatted for FAT32 Any ideas ? |

Indeed that is the correct download, did you unzip the download on the PC before offering the data files to the car system as the download from PGPSW is zipped up by default - Mike

A turn to the right ....
Thanks for your replies guys. A turn to the right on the menu button brought up the files. Have now imported them successfully.

Import of POI doesn't see files
I have converted Garmin CSV files downloaded from the National Trust, using a variety of software into GPX. The GPX files seem OK in that they load into POIedit and display correctly.
When I copy the file to USB (FAT32) stick and try to import them through Sensus 3, the USB stick is recognised but when I go through the process, only the label of the USB stick is displayed on screen and not the files. I have tried a couple of USB sticks. I have tried rotating the bezel on the Menu knob and simply pressing OK - no luck. I burned the files to a DVD-RW and tried from that but again, no luck. I have used Windows XP (running on bootcamp on my mac) to format the stick and download and convert the csv poi's. Any help is welcome. XC60 SE LUX Premium MY11 Thanks |

Banging my head...
Despite kind help from jimbg , I am still frustrated by trying to add POI's. Thanks to jimbg, I know the .gpx files are of the correct format and so I suspected the USB sticks. These were formatted FAT32 and work fine in my PC. I stuck some music on one and it works fine in Media which suggests the USB sticks are fine.
When in Add/Edit POI's in NAV, the USB sticks are visible by their label but the system cannot see the files. I had my MY11 XC60 Premium car upgraded to Sensus 3 last week and installed the newest maps (2012) which I only received recently. My latest theory for the problem is that my Navigation software as opposed to the map data, is 0930 which according to others, isn't changed when an update is done. Is it possible that the garage haven't applied all updates correctly during the Sensus 3 installation? Any other suggestions welcomed. Last edited by Voltan; Nov 15th, 2012 at 17:59. |
