Not a paticularly effective alarm if you only have to pull a fuse to silence it. My old clifford alarm wouldn't stop unless you disconnected the battery. And then it would continue again when you reconnected it.

SORRY CHAPS

that I gave out which fuse to take out if your fob has stopped working, - my wife had this fault with the fob 30 odd miles away from where we live, the alarm would not stop going off and the lights kept flashing and the car would not start, you will of course always be in that large car park with all eyes looking - one phone call to Volvo who gave out the fuse number, alarm stopped, lights stopped able to drive home and then sort out - its not rocket science

only happy to help if I can !! :)

I bought a spare key. chips came in in 95. my spare key did not require chip (and so was cheaper).
Like ye said 'tis a bigger key with the chip in.

There is an easy way to find out if the key has a chip.

Wrap the key handle in kitchen foil so the immobilizer can't read it.

The engine will run for about 2 seconds and cut out if you have the chip in the key immobilizer.
