Default Worried about ETS going on a C70 2002

Hi
Seen many woes with ETS/M going on C70 models, just wandering if the problems were ironed out on a model with this spec (was registered in 20/12/2002, according to DVLA reg check website).
Also when would it be likely to fail and what are the signs (apart from the ETS light on!) and costs.

Car is a C70 2002 Auto 2L model with 42k on the clock.

Thanks all

First answer, have a look down the gap between the engine and the radiator. Dead centre should be a black plastic box, if it's got a white sticker saying Magnetti Marelli on it, then it's one of the potential problem units. If the sticker is yellow, then it has been replaced already. To be honest, if you can't see any sticker you'll have to wait until someone who can tell you what a Bosch one looks like comes along

However, despite some of the doom-mongerers on here, the units don't always go. There are a number of drivers who have in excess of 150,000 miles on the original units.
