Gear box oli change
Hi i want to have the auto box oil changed at an independant garage .I know it holds 7 litres but how much is it likely to be drained .Ie how much to order and do you know the spec to order ?? 2002 petrol auto 5 speed i think.

I used about 18 litres in my drain and fills on my aw55 gearbox. I ordered 20 litres of the mannol stuff correct grade from eBay.
It’s easy to do. Engine lower cover of, drain and measure exactly how much oil came out. Measure and fill through dipstick hole exactly the same amount you took out. You’ll need an extra long funnel. After each one I drove around for errands than did another. I did three drain and fills one weekend and 3 drain and fills the next. It’s now pretty much clean although not perfect. Quite a satisfying job. |

Weigh the fluid, don't do it by volume as this changes depending on the temperature
|
