Could it be on a 2003?
Having read through loads of posts on here, and I'm still confused I have a late 2003 model c70 convertible and it is hesitating badly between 1500-2000revs It has only done 40k miles, with FVSH (although the 33k service 9months ago was done by the dealership that sold it to me).
Could this be an etm issue or is my car too late a model to be affected? |If it isn't what could it be?? Thanks in Advance |

Its Highly unlikely its the ETM (Pretty Much Impossible, they started using better Bosch units after 2002) Its quite likely its the MAF (Mass Airflow Meter) When its got a problem its almost identical symptoms to the ETM. Hope this helps!

No NO! instant death and a sure bill for £250 The Air mas meter is a delicate instrument any contaminant will ruin the hot film part and render it certainly useless if it wasnt already before .. The Air mass meter wont get dirty , how can it with a very good air filter feeding it with ultra clean air ??

True, I didn't mean to touch it lol. It Will break. Your best off finding a good independant garage to check both components and if it does turn out to be the MAF there's lots of companies and ebay sellers that repair them for around about £100. Its not a repair you can do yourself really, But don't send off/replace anything untill you know for sure.

Just bought a 2003 "52" V70 2.4 S and whilst looking under the bonnet i discovered that my etm is made by Magnetti marelli and not Bosch! So, ive booked my car in at Kastners (main dealer) to have a clean and re-software. Is there anyone else out there with a post 2002 Volly the the crappy italian etm fitted to it ???? Regards Matt. |

Is your car a 2003 model year or a 2002 model year registered in 2003 ? the model year code is in the VIN ..
Yes Bi-Fuel cars still have the Magenti Marelli Throttle body .
