Wanted Volvo 360 self-adjuster

Hello,

I am looking for a self-adjuster for the rear offside (i.e. driver's side) wheel on a Volvo 360 1988 GLE. Please note this is different from the self-adjuster on a 340.

I take it you mean the handbrake self adjuster? I can probably get you one, but it'll be from a scrapper.

Hello

Its the rear brake adjuster pushrod which sits inside the brake drum between the two shoes right next to the brake cylinder. I don't have a picture or scanner to hand, but it is shown in Figure 7.6 of the red Haynes manual. It comes with a spring carrier which would be great if you have a spare one of those too! Its fundamentally different from the self-adjuster on a 340 and I do not mean the adjuster for the handbrake cable.

This part is unavailable from Volvo so had to straighten the old one in a vice and clean up the thread. Now it seems to work a treat. Posting replies to my own messages again, hinteresting.

I haven't seen a 360 breaking yet - I hadn't forgotten :)

Can I take it that you don't need this part now?
