Fitting a Parrot to a V40?? Q's
Hi guys,
After a wee bit of help, had a search but not finding what I'm after. I have a 53 plate V40 It has an HU-655 and athe standard sub / amp in the boot I'd like to fir a Parrot, a CK3100 or MKi9200, is there a guide hidden away anywhere? I'm unsure from what I have read on here what cables I need to fit the Parrot and just how much work is involved? Do I have to get some kind of mute cable to the amp in the boot? Anybody sorted out any simpler bluetooth options to stay legal? Any help is hugely appreciated Thanks Chris |

i have fitted a parrot io play to the c70 with the amp in the boot you will need a sot 1000 box to connect to the amp with the hands free and you will need to make a cable to go from the head unit to rca and from the rya to the head unit cable. it is possible to do. The sot-1000 costs about £55 i found only one place that i could order one from and the place is dynamic sounds but if you search google you will find them online.
as for the cable i will try and dig up the sketch i made when i did mine and the parts i got from maplin. |

Thanks buddy
Bit of a pain, have been reading round but not seen anything overly clear for what I actually need, the Parrot's I have put in to date only ever needed the standard ISO. The joys lol. Chris |

It is quite simple actually. You need Volvo - ISO - Volvo adapters, for both green and greey connectors. But ALL of the USED leads that come from the car side must be present!
So far I found cable harness type PC000020AA from parrot: http://dbinstall.parrot.com/pdf.php?...KI9100&lang=UK Or similiar, I don't know if any other one makes them too. For mute function, you have pin 6 on green connector. Check if it is used. Other "higher" models of Volvo (C70, S60, S80...) are using canbus system and have the same shape of connectors, but with totally other pinouts. |

sebaveh, Indeed the ISO addaptors work fine for a non amplified installation but if the Volvo in question is fitted with the boot mounted amp and you want to continue to use the amp with the Bluetooth kit then you need the SOT-1000, this is quite a PITA to install as the instructions are to be honest best described as crap - Had me and Andy scratching heads for quite a while - Mike

Hmm.. sorry to hear that then... I must read it more carefully next time
But isn't this adapter also for straight forward instalation? At least do connectors fit? |
