Yes, I think so, should be gone Sunday or Monday.
At £350, someone's going to get a bargain, even though it does need a bit of fettling.

If I hadn't had an obsession about ticking the turbo box, I'd never have let it go.

Link not working.
If interested, pm me and I'll get some details to you.

After some searching and viewing I finally bought a V70 today, the hunt is over.

Thanks to everyone who helped me this far, I'm sure I'll be active on the forums now I properly 'joined the club'

It was/is the local one, 140, auto, se in metalic red. Its a bit late for photos tonight but the advert is just here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-VOLVO...gAAOSwqfNXpE5H

I'm not planning on modification but I may start a project thread for all the little fixes I'm planning. I'll keep everyone posted, it feels like a combined effort in the purchase so it makes sense to carry on with the chat

Congratulations on the new car. It looks great. It's an older car so there are bound to be one or two niggles, but without a shadow of a doubt you'll get sensible answers and good insight if you keep in touch on here.

Cheers

Unless you want the performance the 140bhp 10v engine is a very very good engine. Simple, tough, reliable, long-lasting. Mine was an auto, which made it a positive joy to drive.

The earlier car has far less in the way of fancy electronicals, and it was a proper Volvo, not a Ford.

The third row of seats can be added to any V70, so don't worry too much about finding one that already has this. Bear in mind that these seats are only suitable for children, and you lose a lot of boot space when they are in use.

Your £1500 should buy you one and leave some change.

Don't be put off by high miles either. Properly looked after these cars will run to huge mileages.

Jack
I would agree with the series I advice. In the event that you choose a series II avoid the geatronic at all costs - mine failed, a very common fault, and the rebuild cost was circa £3k. Good luck. Once you've had a Volvo I guess you'll always have one. I am on my seventh (not many really) my favourite being my 850 T5 which was fantastic. I bought my partner an S40 2.0 auto from eBay for £300 (never even saw the car before the auction ended) and three years later it's still running and other than general servicing hasn't cost a single penny.
