RE: Specialist Volvo Insurance
I'm with VOI too. Not necessarily the cheapest (£602 this year) but I have always had excellent service from them, and I take comfort from knowing that in the event of repairs being needed, the car will go to a volvo workshop and be repaired using volvo parts.

RE: Specialist Volvo Insurance
Check out the new insurance section at autotrader.co.uk which like confused.com searches several companies.

RE: Specialist Volvo Insurance
Ive just cahnged my cover over from my audi to the c70 t5 and all though ive only had to pay £16 admin fees, norwich union have stated my excess will go up from £120 to £270 because its a volvo. Apparently they pay ahefty surcharge with volvos and certain other makes hence i got to suffer if a claim is made.
Has anyone experienced similar or is this something i should accept being a volvo owner? Thanks Darren |

RE: Specialist Volvo Insurance
The cheapest I got for my 940S was £394 FC (TPFT was more expensive) with www.masterquote.com - cheaper than Chris Knox and significantly cheaper than Churchill and EVERY other insurer mentioned by the other posters (£700-£900). They also found an insurer prepared to mirror my 9 years NCD from my main car.
Esure (Calm down dear!) were cheapest for my 850GLT at £510 FC. Not sure why the "leisurely" 940S was so expensive - I guess it could still do a lot of damage due to it's weight and size. I suspect my age and location affect my premiums, though I thought 31 was old and wise in the eyes of insurers :p These premiums might still seem expensive, but if I hadn't looked around, I could easily have paid nearly a grand for both motors. |

RE: Specialist Volvo Insurance
Was with Norwich Union with my 960. Changed to the 850 and then spent 4 hours on the phone and 20 phone calls to Bangaloor in India over a week and ended up with no fewer than 8 wrong insurance policies.
Voted with my feet and went to More Than..... Now pay £450, which is £200 cheaper than NU. Keep jobs in the UK!!!!!! Chris |
