Intermittant heater problem
As posted on another thread my heater fan just stopped working a few days back.
So I've been looking to replace each of the iunits as it doesn't seem possible to assess easily which part has stopped working and then yesterday went for drive late on and suddenly on the way back fan kicks in and works ok. I assume its a poor joint but before I start stripping it all down any other likely cause. Have checked and replaced the fuse, just in case, when it stopped to no effect. |

Strange but true.
A friend of mine had the same problem. He found out it was a tough leaf stalk that had jammed the impeller, he eased it out and the fan is still working without problems, two years on. He now sees the value of removing leaf litter from the scuttle and not leaving it to the wind to remove it. The car is a 960 face lift.
