More power for my 940
Hi guys,
Just as the title says. I've recently bought a 1993 940 and I'm just looking for advice to get a bit more power out of it. Obviously the cheap and cheerful way is always best, but any suggestions are welcome. Don't have a particular budget as of yet, just looking to see what my options might be. If you guys have put different engines in 940's please share with me. It's a totally standard 1993 940 Highlander Edition. Thanks, Chris |

Is it a turbo model?
If so, start with a bigger turbo and more boost. (You need an TD04 15g from a pre '94 or '95 850, and a manual boost controller.) If not, get a turbo engine. |

I think the main thing to note is that you'd need the ECU (and possibly the EZK and other electrical gubbins) from the turbo car. Easiest way quite frankly is to sell up and buy a turbo model! |

Thanks for the PM, it doesn't let me reply until I have 30 posts! Here's what I would have sent.
Thanks for the message. Sounds like a lot of work, maybe I am just better off buying a turbo model! She's got a few bits and pieces that need done just now, so I think I'll give it a miss, thank you though. Out of interest, what colour is your 940? I'm needing a new fuel lid for mine! Chris |

the one I am breaking is dark blue. I have taken the plastic parts off the fuel lid though as I needed them for my current car, so it is just the rectangular metal flap itself & the spring. If you want that, you can have it for the price of the postage.
