Default Apple Carplay magnetic lead recommendations

My existing Apple lead is plugged into the white surround USB and is giving an intermittent connection at the phone. I'm thinking about replacing it with a magnetic connection type and there are several to choose from on Amazon.

Some are "charging only" which of course is not suitable. Others are "data transfer compatible" but I can't see one that specifically states it will work with carplay. Some will work on android but not carplay apparently.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a brand that is carplay compatible?

Any data-compatible cable will work with carplay.

Yes, I would think so. But reading the comments on Amazon reviews seems to indicate otherwise. Hence my question.

Just an update for anyone else thinking about getting a new lead.

I ordered these from Amazon and they seem to work fine with Apple Carplay. £22.99 for 3 leads with various end fittings.

There are some that are more expensive and others a bit cheaper but this one seemed to have a lot of positive comments. One reviewer had a problem with Android so maybe that's an issue. Anyway, on Carplay, so far so good.

The lightning connection to the phone is slightly larger than the standard Apple lead fitting so I had to cut away a part of the phone case but it's not really a problem.

Get yourself a wireless carplay device. It plugs into the white usb port and connects via bluetooth to your phone

I did look at getting that one and it seems fine. I decided instead to get the one for £22.99 as I have a use for 3 cables and liked the extra lengths.
