Default 2011 S40 1.6 diesel drive flywheel

My Mechanic expressed concerns over the sound of the flywheel in my s40 so now I'm looking for recommendations for a bang for buck replacement. I'm not sure what the original flywheel is so I can't really judge if the ones I'm seeing in searches are better or worse...

Are you implying that you're thinking of putting a second hand one in? If that's the case, you're wasting your time. You may as well get new and be finished with it.

It makes sense to replace the clutch too, if replacing the flywheel.

Plenty of brands out there... LUK and Valeo for example. Good quality and are used all the time all over the world.

Thanks and God no I'm not planning a second hand one.

Mine went at 115000 miles or so. DMF, clutch, release bearing and gearbox oil all changed at the same time. The local garage used a LUK DMF and clutch kit. Cost around £840 all-in and the LUK kit was great although I sold the car shortly afterwards.
