I recall posting this problem about 7-8 years ago and found others had the same problem. Mine did it at 35,000 Miles and still has it at 175,000 miles. It seems to be a charecteristic of the engine, I.E. bad design. Are We all 10 Valve MAP engines?

well i found the cause of mine and it killed 2 birds with one stone.
went to have a look at my boost gauge pipe today as my boost gauge stopped working and found the vac pipe had fallen off the tree. popped it back on and now my revs are fine and back to being like a normal car and my boost gauge now works. WOOHOO. easyest fix i have ever done on a car LOL pigfight have you chect the vac pipe on the left hand side of the manifold as you look at the engine? the elbow pipe hidden down the left hand side? its a red 850r with black trim (grey at the minute, needs colour restoring!!) black mesh grill, and black halos now, with the upper line of the halos beeing smooth and straight compared to the origonals, from certain angles their appears to be a gap so thats why im puttin the black eyebebrows on (only the skinny ones though). will post pics in a couple months once i get a bonnet (mines got a crease almost bang in the middle!! summat dropt on it!!) then sprayed and blended with the wings, then need to refurb the wheels, which are black t5r titans (always prefered em to the volans).
(again, sorry to have jackd a thread) Last edited by pigfight; Jul 22nd, 2009 at 09:29. |
