However as Mark has pointed out increasing the fuel pressure will also increase the power and reduce the duty cycle of the injectors but at the risk of over-burdening the fuel system in general.

Martin r smith is the member you are looking for to write custom chips for your setup. He is a great guy to deal with and highly recommended ,Astra VXR injectors should be fine with that turbo setup

Fairly stock, couple of little mods so i'm guessing about 190-200bhp, Vauxhall Omega 3.0 injectors, removed the viscous fan, trialing water injection.......

Dave's is a V6 so what he does to his car will be completely different to your 940.

This thread has well lost the plot with lots of wrong/confusing information.
Resistor mod - is simply removing the resistor pack and bridging the wiring so that normal resistance injectors can be used without blowing the ECU https://www.classicswede.co.uk/940_T..._20051234.aspx Why? Volvo used low resistance 2ohm injectors as they were faster opening and at the time considered better. Injectors have moved on a LONG way since and there is a a wide choice of injectors available in std resistance range Whilst the original injectors can flow enough fuel for close to 200bhp there are advantages to using modern injectors with improved spray pattern. You do not really want the injectors operating over 80% duty cycle. As to what flow rate injectors to use you do need to plan out the overall engine build. The chips you choose will also want to match that build |

That may be so but the Laws of Physics have NOT changed. A higher voltage (high resistance) injector will still develop more Teslas (unit of magnetism) than a low voltage one - that's simplifying it more than somewhat but the simple fact is there will be less back emf from the low resistance injector and will dissipate faster, as will the inherent magnetic hysteresis.

It is all fairly well known info but well worth you reading to bring yourself back upto date. LH2.4 is capable of driving either high or low z injectors bearing in mind non turbo versions came with high z anyway and only turbo engines had low z |
