I get that cars are more or less loved, but even mine that is literally cherished&pampered would probably have faults to be pointed to
dent here, scratch there, too high, too small wheels, pass, neeext?
Too high. And a little too high. Bit too high too.

I am a fussy @£$%^&&, but reasonable too. A bumper with stonechips and scuffed wheels: no probs. New interior parts and sorting a bent bumper on a car with more miles than I'd prefer: no thanks!

My C30 was in surprisingly good condition when I bought it, and ideally I'd find a V50 T5 in similar condition, but an estate car is more of a worker car, gets less love, more use etc, so I'm being a bit ambitious in what I want it seems. It's still top of my shortlist but the lead it had over the other contenders is getting shorter and shorter... which is a bit of a shame

EDIT: Yours is looking great by the way LoB!

...
see? what did I tell you

thanks though, I keep it nice&tidy as much as I can but its getting a fair share of usage with my daily 60miles commute and car itself is now over 14y old so I learned to ignore minor scuffs and dents and not obsess too much about external look (except wheels, goddamn you stupid kerb in 2018! goddamnyou!!! )

in all seriousness though, good luck with hunt. fingers crossed one will come up on the market, but it is a huge shame those cars are so hard to get by in UK/IRE. Popularity of those in other EU countries is much higher and are not as "exclusive" as here. Found really nice example for sale in Poland (Swiss import though), but are still pretty expensive - equivalent of 7000Euros for 2008 model

Thanks. There's a white V50 almost identical to that in my area (don't think it's a T5) and I have to say it looks really, really good! White seems to make it look younger too for some odd reason!

Have you considered a 5-door Mk2 Focus ST?

Tiny bit less practical than a V50, but a lot better than a C30 or S40 (practicality wise)

Special cars in my opinion.

However if you want a 2010 car you will be paying a lot of money.

Not a bad shout, and had the C30 been 5 doors I'd probably just be keeping it, but I've got a thing for an estate car now! I did consider an A3 Sportback but have decided if I'm changing the C30 I'm going balls-deep and getting an estate!

agreed, that car does not lookn like 11y old, white pearl does give it much fresher look, same as xenons or adding LED bulbs for rear licence plate. subtle changes and car just look class
