General: Centre Rear Seat Belt

Hi

I have been trying to purchase seat belt extenders for the rear seats in my XC90 as we have 3 child seats across the back and an extender will make it much easier to get them in and out.

The standard extender works fine in the 2 outer rear seat positions. This is the one I am using ( http://www.onlinetaxistore.com/car-s...ension-1-p.asp ). However, in the centre position, it won't click / lock into the buckle.

I have examined the middle buckle quite carefully – it is the same width (21mm) but very slightly longer than the outer seatbelt buckles and perhaps most significantly on the back there is a small raised plastic point about a third of the way down the buckle which is not present on the other seat belts.

Has anyone come across this problem before? And more importantly can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere which might sell a seatbelt extender which will work specifically in this centre rear position?

It's not uncommon for centre belts to use a different buckle to ensure the buckle can't be put into the wrong receptical. Can't help with sourcing a suitable extender, although I guess you've tried contacting Volvo to see if they do something?
