just read info from volvo green book on head gasket notches it says 1 notch for D24 engine only . so I'm thinking notch 2and 3 are D24 TIC later engine it could be correct what you say about head gaskets .3 notch gasket is thickest . but i don't know some one on here will for sure !

What about a full respray of a volvo, Has anyone done one, what is cost.
The paint work on car is poor, it's really rough to the touch, like sand paper parts of it..
Never seen paint go like that before, as it's original paint. It so needs a full respray.

To get a decent paint job, you'll be looking at into 4 figures for a full respray. You might be able to find cheaper, but it won't be long-lasting.

1k would be fair, if job was good. If car was resprayed and head gasket done and was running and driving perfectly it has to be worth 2500 at least ?
