HI Just seen a 240 low mileage on Ebay looks a really nice car but £6500 thats a lot of money. My question is checking the MOT history its almost ready for the scrap yard long history of failure mostly corrosion I would expect it to be almost perfect.Or am i being pedantic with the MOT issues. What your opinion.Regards Ron.

Yes that does look like it has suffered a bit of corrosion, I’m surprised it looks lovely in the pics, I noticed it a few days ago, and thought it looked really nice, I would like that, but looking at the mot history it doesn’t look so good. I get the brake problems because of the very low mileage, but not the corrosion. At first I thought well it’s just bolt on bits that had corrosion, but rear seat belt mounting points must be body parts! Not letting good!

I spotted the car first on carandclassic and contacted the seller, who's not the first owner. Seeing the (blurry) pictures of the end of the sills on eBay stopped me from driving over this weekend to have a closer look.
