volvo vida
Hi today I helped a user today with a 2004 V40 , I tried to read with volvo vida
it would not read, so i tried the icarsoft 906 and it did read some of the modules, I also have Delphi ds150e and that worked very well reading all modules , so you can not always use Volvo vida, Dave |

Did you try to read the car when you plugged it it, or did you maually enter the VIN on Vida. The S40 and V40 are the only cars that VIDA cannot automatically read and you have to enter the VIN manually

Yeap, I am afraid so. Maybe it has to do with the fact that our car is not 100% Volvo and has Mitsubishi and Renault influences.

Hi I can not remember , I told the user that you have given me good info,
the user Michael is going to contact you as you have spent a lot of time helping him in the past, he has the codes on his phone I think it was srs, central locking, seat belt reminder intermittent, both work fine, will not clear 0001 17b 17c Thanks Dave Last edited by davebb; Feb 18th, 2018 at 22:18. |

Already replied to his thread. The problem is the SRS0001 code, which means faulty module. Only way to solve it, is to replace it with another one

OK thanks
Are they interchangeable with a s/h unit with no download, do you need to swap with same software number, like you do with parts on the S60, Thanks Dave |

On the S40, V40, you can get a second hand unit and it is plug and play. No need for programming etc thank goodness
