Thanks guys for your feedback.
It all to is too obscure for me to make any decisions, the more I read about it the less I understand, on top of it I have no clue where I got the 30783253 part number from as now double checking with Vida, the only maching set is listed as 30783254 that is YET ANOTHER part number by Valeo/Luk etc, but still in pair with the same flywheel/CSC. I am totally confused now and Id rather not mix&match anything and hoping it will fit. Seem to me that all T5s/D5 and even some newer D3/D4 had the same flywheel/csc but actual 2piece clutch is unique for each vehicle.
I dont need it just NOW, its just into (probably near) future but will most likely just get someone (dealership/aftermarket specialist) to get me 4piece kit based on VIN number and wash my hands off this...

thanks anyway!

I'm preparing for mine too, just got that annoying whine on startup which I've posted about in another thread, doesn't alter how the clutch works at all and goes away after 30 seconds of warming up.

I'm going to book mine in for an S60R clutch next month though I think, get it out the way.

So you start the car, it does its 1500 rpm 'thing' and your clutch/release bearing goes "weeeeaaaaahhhhhh">>DIP CLUTCH<<"ooooooooohhhhh"

Sorry that's the best I can describe. Mine's been like it for years.

Yep spot on.

Video here.

Literally lasts 30 seconds or if I pull off in first it'll make the noise once or twice then after that, it's fine!

Heh, looks like it was designed to "randomly not exceed certain mileage"

I propose "group buy" from volvo with nice 50% discount, surely they will go for that, wont they? ;P

Just a small resurrection on that topic.
I finally pulled the plug and got all parts needed for the upcoming BIG job. Decided to replace clutch kit and some other things at one go (was keep adding to "todo" list for a while now...) so I ended up with literally full table:

As for clutch I decided to go with standard OEM. Dont feel like paying twice for RS mod, and I dont really think with stage1 its needed. Plus with all other parts I needed, I just wanted to get as cheap as possible but with best possible quality, hence OEM.

All parts related to clutch replacement are listed below:

(clutch) 30783254
(op cylinder) 31258380
(Flywheel) 31259452
(Flywheel bolts) 9454743 10
(Clutch bolts) 986321
Air Vent Pipe 30787651
Flange screw 982759
Driveshaft Bolts 30640878 2

If someone is interested, parts manufacturers for OEM clutch are:

Flywheel & Clutch pressure plate: LuK
Clutch plate: Valeo + LuK (notice 2 brands, dunno why)
(pics included in attachments)

Rest of the parts are for fuel pump replacement & exhaust manifold job and I am also replacing the battery-side engine mount with hydraulic upgraded one.

Fingers crossed after all this my car will be happy as a flying pig as iI am really counting on it being problem-free for some time now...

Have you got the correct compression tool for fitting the self adjusting pressure plate assembly? It is sprung loaded and needs to be fitted with the adjuster fully pressed against it's springs ...
