62 plate V50 injector

Hi,
Just want to ask a question about diesel injectors. One of my injectors went down on my V50 1600 Edrive and a local mechanic fitted a new one. The car appears to run very well now but someone told me you have to get these injectors calibrated on a computer to ensure it is working correctly?
Any V50 owners/mechanics on here who might offer me some advice please.

fitted a set in mine without programming.
been fine for 20K
