PS Park Assist is a bit of a gimmick. It works, but I find it far quicker to park it myself.

If it was fully auto it'd be different. But having to operate the gears and accelerator/brake largely defeats the object.

Yeah I tried it yesterday in Tesco but it wouldn’t find he spot and I was too impatient. The bit that is useful though is the side and front sensors which mine doesn’t have. I have to drop the boy at Nursery down a country lane and the side sensors were good as I had to get close to the bushes to pass other parents.

I found that when I was over visiting friends in Sweden. One of them lives in an apartment block in the Vasa district of G'burg. First time ever I used Park Assist, and found that it was far quicker to take over midway through manoeuvre and park myself than wait for the car to finish.... can see it's usefulness in certain scenarios though.

I'm not sure I can. I have yet to find a single scenario where I couldn't do the job better myself - I can get in tighter spaces, more quickly.

My OH is a different story altogether!

360 camera is all you need makes parking a doddle.

Yes yes I know this will upset all the reverse park purists here, and yes I can reverse park like the rest of you, but.......

I have big chunky tyres which protect the alloys really well so parallel parking simply involves going in at a sharp angle, up and over the kerb and down again and bam in the space in no time at all......

Although in the V90 it ends up costing about £1500.00 as you need a pack installed as well. Ive went for the gimmicky park pilot instead as it was only a couple of hundred on top of the front sensors, which are optional.

For me the Pro pack is a must for the way I use the car, more value in that for me than an Inscription, too pricey with both!

That's not parking, it's off roading!

I only have a rear reversing camera.

However, not sure what trim level you have but my Momentum has a seriously useful feature called "windows" and "wing mirrors" which also make parking easy

This is what I found, way too often it misses the space. With spaces pretty rare in a lot of scenerios, you cannot be messing around waiting for the car to finally find one when the conditions are just perfect. Unless it is me I find it one of the pretty disappointing options that I have paid for.

Got my Inscription back on Tuesday after nearly 2 weeks.

A couple of other things I noticed:
1. The ambient lights underneath the silver mesh (or wood) trim along the passenger side and under the steering wheel. Mid noticed the cup holder ones missing, but hadn’t noticed the ones on the dash until I got them back.

2. The ride is a little harder on the 20” wheels over the 19” ones. Enough that I noticed within minutes of driving it.

Options missing on the centre display.

Momentum had ParkIn/out so they were missing on mine. Missing on the Momentum were:

1. collision avoid assistance (think this was moved out of settings on most recent software update, maybe the Momentum didn’t have the upgrade)
2. Adjust Passenger seat
3. Mine has cornering lights & active bending lights as two buttons, the Momentum has fog lamp with cornering lamp

I’ve also noticed the rear air vents in the b pillars on mine, I would have thought all models have them, but don’t remember seeing them on the Momentum.

I’m missing the front sensors now. But not missing the side ones. I found in spray they would randomly go off and scare the life out of me!
