Gain access to the fuse board and remove fuse No.1
Turn off the ignition and replace fuse.
When you start the engine the engine, the Lambda light should stay out (provided the fault has been cured).

This method has the benefit of saving the radio settings.

Not as simple as my method as no need to start the engine.

Remove fuse No1
Wait 20 seconds
Replace the fuse
Job done.

Light will be gone when you restart the engine if no further faults.

Or, you could read and clear codes the proper way without messing around with batteries and fuses, and also actually find out what your car thinks is wrong without just throwing parts at it in the vain hope it will make the nasty light go away.

Posting in the section that covers the S and V70 would help! But you'll need to get the diagnostics read and that will require either a dealer or a good Indie.

Just tried that and it worked!

Sensor light came on after a leak in the inlet manifold gasket had been sorted. The car had that job done before being put through its MOT, which it passed and emissions were fine.

Removed the fuse, waited 20s, replaced fuse, started car, no sensor light showing.

The mechanic doing the MOT has said since the car passed the emissions test that the senor was "confused", which I thought was a nice way of putting it.

Much simpler is the truth - the fault is still recorded in the ECU and until you reset the ECU memory by pulling fuse 1 for 20-30 seconds, it would have remained lit.
Once reset, the ECU Fault Code Memory is clear until the next time - the engine management light/malfunction indicator lamp (EML/MIL) will then remain off until another fault occurs.
