Default LED H7 fog light bulb

Probably been asked before, but can the standard H7 fog lamp bulb be replaced with a compatible LED one? Will I get a warning light? I don't want to convert the fog lamps to DRL,s well not yet anyways.

As long as its the same bulb then I cant see why not? Which would be brighter though, H7 or H7 LED?

I'm not 100% sure whether there is a canbus voltage drop monitor on these circuits, but most unlikely since they're not critical for road use.

Remember that LED's are still trying to play catchup in actual light output (lumens) compared to halogen bulbs.
They're much better now but don't expect them to be as bright.

If it was me, I would install a pair of H7 LED 7.5W bulbs like these -

You can find plenty on ebay and they only take around 2 wks to ship.
I've installed a few others from ebay/china etc. they're fine but if they're cheap enough, just buy two sets!

Just realised my mistake - the fog lamps are H11 and not H7

Much the same in terms of the bulb design, just the fitment is different.

Something I would install in mine!

Install anything at your own risk though, this is just a personal opinion!
