Default Seat Belt Red 'Press' Button

I assume that the metal mechanism is still in place. You can put a very small screw driver gently into the mechanism to lift it up.

You will need to find a car of similar age/fitting (they changed design slightly about 1989/90) at a breakers or elsewhere.

The red press button 'clips' in and out. However, you will also need the small spring that fits underneath the red button. It keeps the lock mechanism in the 'up' position and allows you to push the button down to release the belt catch.

When fitting a replacement you will need to put a small screwdriver into the lift mechanism (as above) to hold it in position whilst you click the replacement button into position.

There is 1 pic here maybe but I can't seem to upload a couple more!! Guess there too big. I'll post the later from my PC. I have never worked out how people post large pics in a post!!
