Default Estate load cover identification please?

Hi All,

I forgot I had this in the garage and found it when looking for an 850 part for another member a few weeks ago. I'm sure I bought it from a chap who had a 240 estate years ago, but I'm not sure now if it's actually from a 700 or 900 series car? I've owned a V40, V70 and 850 but not got around to anything this fits as yet so ought to find out and see if anyone needs it

Any ideas, see pics below? Dimensions of the canvas part are approx. 1465mm wide by 1180mm depth. The metal roller part is approx. 1515mm measured to the plastic end fixings but is spring loaded so would compress a little to fit.

Generally good condition but I don't have any other fixings with it. Any idea of value would be good too as someone is bound to be missing one and can make use of it?

Thanks
Stu

Default Possibly 700/900 series.

The one I have fitted in my 940 is approx. 480mms wide and 1110mms long when fully extended. The roller mechanism is 505mms end to end excluding the rectangular locating lugs.

Default Correction. Silly me.

Width should be 1480mms, roller tube 1505mms. long. Knew something was not right with those previous measurements.

This looks very much like the one fited to my 940 Estate - I'll get the tape measure on it!

If it is the one, it would have come originally a couple of brackets in which to fit the plastic end fixings and two hooks on which to secure the eyes on the end of the roll. It was an "optional extra" when new.

Hi all, thanks for the replies, I hadn't had chance to get on here to reply for a while but it looks like it's from a 940 estate then. Thanks for the measurement check and info, Ian

MW - if you could check yours with a tape measure that would be great too and I'll re-measure this one, sounds very close to Ian's measurements though so likely a 940.

Hi Andrew - happy to give you first dibs but I'd have to check if any courier would take it due to length and what postage would cost assuming you aren't local to collect in person?

Hi All,

Just bumping this thread as I tripped over this in the garage yesterday

I'll stick an advert in the 900 series section 'for sale' bit, if anyone needs one?

Cheers
Stu
