Yes bud, 110v yellow and 230v blue.

The 16amp commando socket is fed from a separate 20amp supply at not connected to a 13amp ring so no worries there.

Some of the 16amp charging cables I have seen have the ability to select 10 or 16amp. Some camping sites only supply 10amp but still use a 16amp commando.

You’ll have to connect via the supplied 10A charger and either chop the 3 pin plug off and attach a commando plug (not recommended for various reasons) or plug the 3 pin into a standard socket in your van, or make a fly lead (using 2.5mm2) with a commando plug going to a weatherproof 3 pin socket.

I do the latter, works on every campsite we’ve been to (we tent not van though!)

You will still only draw the max 10 amps from the standard charger though, not 16A from the site supply. You can’t take a type 2 cable and replace one end with a commando plug...there’s no charger circuitry in the car, it either wouldn’t work or you’d blow a fuse or worse

Great input and I think I will need to get a charger point fitted and change the cable to the Phase 3 type.

Cheers

Another piece of advice on this for you. Check your electricity supplier to see if they're tied with one of the EV suppliers. You might be able to get a charge point fitted at home which allows free or discounted use of public charge points, so make sure you shop around.

I hoping on the quieter campsites to be a little cheeky and use a spare post.

I have found a third party type 2 mode 2 16amp charger with commando socket which supports both 10 and 16amp supplies. Assume these are ok to use?
