Default Oil pan, rear main seal etc. - gaskets

Hi there.

So I'm replacing some gaskets and seals on my B230FK(for the first time) and I wanted to ask what is your experience with the OEM "paper" gaskets and how tight do you tighten the bolts for example on the oil pan, on the intake manifold or the rear main seal housing?

Thanks

Can't help on the question of gaskets. However for the 940 at least Haynes have the sump[oil pan] at 11Nm they don't list a torque setting for either the rear main seal housing or inlet manifold.

Rear main seal housing bolts ate M5 or M6 with a 10mm head, so just a "Hm".
(use loctite if you want)

Intake manifold nuts are 12mm nuts on an M8 stud, so try for a "Hmph".

Only bolts are torque down are head bolts and flywheels bolts.

Everything else I just tighten to what feels right.

You know you’ve gone too tight when the head shears off.
