Then it is a bad remap

My car has a remap and it has
1. A badge fitted to the engine bay informing anyone who opens the bonnet that it has a remap
2. An engineering certificate in the vehicle documents documenting the remap, and the testing done on the vehicle by the testing station after the remap
3. An entry on the official vehicle papers stating it has a remap

I would have to be blind not to notice.

Mine has a badge on the back but it was not obligatory to have it fitted and there is nothing on the official papers to say it was done. I have a receipt of course.

Guess it must be a bad remap? Volvo are perfectly happy with it though and happy to warranty it.

I always work on the principle of
"if it wasn't documented, it never happened"

Anyway, country requirements and attention to detail vary hugely around this planet

My current country of residence demands detailled documentation, otherwise the vehicle is non compliant and it is a MOT fail.

Volvo give the Polestar remap full EU compliance.

I insure with Admiral, when I added my car to policy I was told because it was a manufacturers extra there would not be any extra charge.
