2001 S40 Volvo Petrol - Vacuum Lines

Does anyone have picture of all the vacume lines for this car. I would love to see it and replace all my vacume lines as they are listed as causing many types of problems.

Don't have a picture, but basically they all attached to the throttle body, apart from a little one for the fuel pressure regulator which is barely visible.

Just look at the throttle, you'll notice a little yellow pipe amongst a few others. Those are all vacuum tubes. Off the top of my head; one for the airbox, one for the brake servo, one for the crankcase ventilation, can't remember what the yellow one does, ECU maybe? There's probably one or two I've forgotten about too.

The little one is at the other end of the manifold, near the power steering pump. It connects to the fuel pressure regulator, which is a round thing on the fuel rail.

Hey Folks-

Last year my Volvo S-40 would sputter, almost stop running and generally not behave well.

Several Yanks I talked to locally said they thought it was a vacume leak.

Not true - turned out to be a faulty wire in the ignition wiring harness

Replaced the entire wiring harness and no more sputtering !
