The garage probably overfilled the oil when it was serviced, or the oil level can rise after a failed DPF regen. The oil needs to be only up 2/3rds of the dipstick or you will get this message (there should be a sticker in the engine bay saying as such) After taking some oil out it will take a couple of heat cycles to reset.

Hi Phil
i know its been a while but the car dooesn'tget used much.
After dropping the oil again, refilling to two thirds level and after a couple of good runs, no more warning message.
Exactly as you described.
