Hi everybody, I will post a chip comparison chart shortly. I have been informed that www.partsforvolvosonline.com are offering the BSR PPC at a reduction of £25.00 for a limited period, so that means VOC members now pay £499.99.

The new price for the BSR PPC is £650 + VAT. This is what we will be retailing them at.

Have you made a mistake or is it for something other than a stage 1 upgrade,

Your price for my car ('99 V70 T5) = £650 + Vat = £763.75

A stage 1 upgrade from "parts for Volvo's online" is £524.99 including VAT and £9.99 P&P.

I hope your quote is for something other than stage 1 or a question about a price difference of nearly £250 is posed.

It is expensive, and yes it's true that it is currently possible to obtain it much cheaper. But it's not a mistake. The prices are set by BSR, and our UK distributor.

Thanks for your reply. I have been frustrated in upgrading my car by insurance company games. I have encountered the silly situation whereby specialist insurers will only insure modded cars (after the fact) and the others will not touch mods. I will make the transistion in Feb when the current insurance expires and the threat of draconian early cancellation charges is no longer an issue.

I had narrowed the choices down to Rica or BSR and quite obviously if BSR becomes the choice then I will be buying online from the competitor.
