Default Help!!!!

2004 XC70 D5 awd

Im in the middle of removing my rad and inter cooler. I want to check the hard pipe to the turbo, the one that goes under the engine.....HOW TO REMOVE IT???!!!!

Take off the belly pan and look up under the turbo for the rear join, front join is obvious.

I already did the problem is ..doesn't came out neither sides. the front side gets stuck it doesn't have any room to came down!!!!

I've had the same problem and didn't manage it. (The plastic lugs had snapped off and I was trying to replace the pipe).

I was told by a friendly tech at the dealer that they undo a couple of bolts to allow the block mounted to the subframe to move and that allows enough room - I still couldnt manage it even using a jack to slightly raise the engine. (Not sure if EUR3 has the block though).

I too left mine in place when taking the turbo out as there was insufficient clearance to get it out. I assumed the engine would need raising so gave up at that point..

also bend the undertray tag down on the subframe however if it is working ok I would advise leave well alone it is a horrible job to get the turbo end back on ...
