The shuddering you mentioned..
Is it when you put your foot flat from around 1500rpm and when it hits 2000rpm it shudders?

Well the revs constantly oscillate now and rather than increase smoothly it jumps ~100rpm at a time
The shuddering occurs now when I floor it the car does not accelerate and I have to take my foot off the accelerator and try again. Because of this I cannot overtake anyone because if it happens mid-overtake then it's a serious problem.

Sounds like a dmf issue to me.

When I had my remap done the revs would jump 200rpm and judder as they are known to be weak (car was on 51k miles at that time)

I replaced the DMF and while I still have the judder - there is no jump in the revs and it accelerates through the judder. However if you floor it from 2300 upwards then there is no judder as you aren't hitting the peak torque curve.

It was explained to me as the dmf being maxed out and vibrating slightly.

Not a clue about autos.
If you've put more power through it then you could have broken a couple of bits that may have been on their way out. Unfortunately it's the nature of the map as they put more strain on the parts. I went through dmf & clutch which was £1500... (luckily covered under warranty)

How will he have engine data before and after? Shark should have that data not the customer given they are the engine management specialists - and if they had it you'd assume they would share it with him to prove a point. You seem to be suggesting this guy is making this up. I'm struggling to see why that would be.

Let's not get distracted by all that rubbish.
Let's focus on the task at hand.

The map has shown a weakness with the car. This is evident with it being returned to standard and still having the problem.

Unfortunately this is the nature of a map.. They put more strain on parts and they do give up easier.

Get it round to someone with dice/vida to read the code & tell us what codes are being displayed. Then we will have a better look at what the issue may be.

Lets focus on what YOU suggested earlier. Try answering the question.
This poor sod has a knackered car after a supposed upgrade..........they are supposed to be experts but have left him with a knackered car......pretty p!ss poor isn't it, and you go defending them by suggesting he is a liar. So try focusing on that now....just for a minute.

Why will he have data?
Well he's decided the car isn't quick/powerful enough so surely it makes sense to have data to confirm the car is running correctly as stock before throwing money at a remap.
His car may have seemed ok but you can learn a lot from cheap diagnostics.
As for calling anyone a liar, this is an internet forum so I don't just accept what I'm told without question.
Nowt wrong with that.
