Default 178bhp.......

Ben, good morning,

my trade has many participants who will quote you whatever figures you want to hear just to separate you from your money.

I would look deeply into just who is offering you these outputs for £300. MTE, who I represent here in the UK are renowned for writing software that gives you the very best outputs for rapid progress on the road combined with a knowledge of just what any given engine will take in terms its longevity, emmissions etc.

Just search, both here and at www.t5d5.org in depth for your intended supplier and check the provenence of what you are intending to purchase.....

Best regards, Don.

Default Torque is more important than peeky BHP.

Another point I should make is that a diesel will allways give of its best on the road using its wide, natural torque band, not by seeking some hypothetical peak power claim.

So, a high BHP claim, as it may indeed by just that, is not the proposition that you should be buying into with any diesel, it is that area under the torque curve that should be the sole focus of your investigations....

Regards, Don.

from what they say, uprated intercooler, exhaust and air filter and a custom map should easily see you up to 190-200, 210 is the max in terms of fuel pump, injectors and they wouldnt want to push the clutch much past 210.

so its deffo achievable
I thought as much that a custome remap would see more. I've got the exhaust sorted with a HEICO system fitted with just the cat remaining. silencers in the mid section have been removed. Does anyone on there say what intercooler they used?

190 is a nice safe number not asking too much of the engine I think Not too fussed on going mad on it as thats why I baught an Evo for to chuck money into and produce something fast
