What did you do to your S80/V70/XC70 today? - Page 7

Ordered some ickle clips to attach tailgate liner to tailgate as mine were a hodge podge/broken after police had played with car. Fitted them today & now it doesn't hang down

Finally got around to fitting LEDs to rear seat overhead lights and also to side lights in the headlamps - omg that is so fiddly/tight!

Need to do the foot lamps now as they look out of place...

I fitted led lighting to the front and rear foot wells. Controlled via app on the phone.

First cold snap today and the car felt like it was misfiring when started from cold for approx 15-20 seconds.

Removed glow plugs to find 2 not working, new set fitted.

Replaced a headlight washer cover, old one was poorly painted.

- Oil+filter change (What's all the fuss about?)
- Cabin filter change (painful...)
- Air filter change (44gbp!)
- Soldered new connecter for the dash cam

Fitted tow bar, good quality one all plug and play mainly.

Fitted new air con expansion valve to hopefully make the aircon quiter.

Footwell lights controlled by app stopped connecting to phone so fitted set controlled via a remote.

Finished of tow bar fitting by tidying up the bumper cut.

Broke the indicator lense on my n/s mirror when I misjudged a gap.... replacement ordered from partsforvolvos...... hopefully not too difficult to fit.

The other day I topped up my washer fluid, and watched as the fluid I was using (that I’d had sitting on a shelf after diluting, oh, several months ago), disgorged black filmy stuff into the washer bottle.

So this afternoon, as predictably enough the screen washers had stopped working, I removed the front bumper and cleaned it all out. You don’t half have to be brutal to unclip the bumper at the sides!

Cleaned EGR valve, inlet manifold and all pipework. Horrible job.

Did this while replacing swirl assembly (see main section for my 'guide').
