Default Water at the spare wheel

Hej guys!

My car has foged inside alot of times,
Yesterday when I was going to fetch my Warning Triangle where the spare tyre lays I found water at the bottom.

I read about the AC drain being clogged, but this is not the same symptom as I dont have water in the footwells,, only in the trunk.

Anyone ?

V50 or S40?

The rear light clusters are favourite on most cars when this happens - check/clean the rubber gaskets, tighten properly against the bodywork etc.

Otherwise hide inside the boot with a torch and watch for drips whilst someone showers the car with a hose pipe.

In addition to the lights, many cars leak around the boot vents, often have to take off the bumper to seal round them.

My Golf and my Mazda have both suffered from that.

First job is pop out a grommet in the spare wheel well to keep it from filling again (or drill holes in them).

Thanks for the reply guys!

Took my time today too wipe the water out , and ran the heater for a little while to dry things up.

The rubber grommet are patched in some way,, when i look underneath it look like someone has sealed the whole spare wheel area with some under car treatment (like tectyl)

will have a look att the rear lights
