Default D5 Turbo oil leak

I've had a S60 D5 SE with BSR stage 1 mods for a month. The other day I noticed that the car had dropped oil onto the drive and took it to the garage for examination. The mechanic reckoned the oil is leaking from the turbo but wasn't really worth worrying about at the moment as 'all turbos leak a bit of oil anyway'.

I'm not very clued up about diesel engines in general (this is the first) and although the leak is certainly not significant I'd like some views on this if possible as I'm not entirely reassured by the above comment to be honest.

Is our turbo oilcooled?

My engine leaked at so many points that I replaced it
Not what you wanted to hear I bet... Main leakage was the seal at the crankshaft: common leakagepoint afaik, costs next to nothing in materials, but 400 quid in manhours. Same as the manhours for replacing the entire engine

Did read on how to refurb your turbo on here or a sistersite. Possibly this would solve any leaking. So even if it does leak, there's always a solution.
