Default Newbie - Buying XC60 R Design Pro

Good Afternoon all

I have been reading lots of post on this great forum to get a better understanding of the XC60 and specifications etc

Never owned a Volvo before, I have been more into the 'German marques' , but after looking at BMW,Merc,Audi and Volvo, I have taken a fancy to the XC60.

Current car is a BMW X5 M Sport, so the XC60 is a bit smaller which we prefer.

I am looking at a R Design Pro - I would also like the following extra's
Front park, Rear Camera, Heated Windscreen - would the Xenium pack cover these additions ?

Thanks

The below is taken from the XC60 brochure:

XENIUM
Power Glass Tilt and Slide Panoramic Sunroof with Sun Curtain (std. T8 Twin Engine)
Parking Camera 360º Surround View
Park Assist Pilot - Automatic Parallel and 90º Parking
4-Zone Electronic Climate Control including Cooled Glovebox (n/a T8 Twin Engine)

When I was researching before ordering my XC90, I was advised against the heated windscreen on the basis you can start the car remotely to warm up and defrost before you leave the house. To a large extent this negates the need for the heated windscreen and I therefore opted to keep the heads up display. I do not have the car yet though, so others can probably advise you better on the merits of this!

Thanks - Never had the ability to pre start a car before - but sounds interesting.

This means I have more choice of spec on the website now

Cheers

A great addition is the intellisafe surround adds pilot assist and the blind spot + rear collision, the latter is fantastic for reversing out of busy car parks, or onto busy main roads/ next to a wall/ van. It uses radar to look 180 degrees around the rear of the car:

Bought an R-Design Pro about 2 months ago with the Xenium pack as well as the intellisafe; ok, its my 4th XC60 but really happy with the spec and can only reiterate how much the 360 camera helps day-to-day

That’s a good video will add the Intellisafe into the mix - still got to decide if Petrol or Diesel 🤪 - 10k to 12k a year mixed driving ?

I have the T5 R-Design with HUD. With remote start I've not once had to defrost the car in the mornings

10-12k is what I typically do, no need for a diesel with that mileage. You'll enjoy the car either way!
